Trees are such a challenge for me, being from an area without too many. When I go to Cave Junction I like to make time to work while I am visiting. The country is gorgeous but FULL OF TREES. I study them as unfamiliar objects and am discovering they actually have their place compositionally. But it is a challenge. Here are a few images of recent Oregon work.
